Local Guys Moving Supports WNCAP!

What is WNCAP? It stands for Western North Carolina AIDS Project. WNCAP is a large program that sponsors education, counceling, nutrition and wellness programs, assistance locating housing and medical attention, and so much more. Read all about WNCAP programs and assistance.

Bruce and Clete, representing Local Guys Moving , is sponsoring a restaurant this year to support Dining Out For Life (DOFL). This years DOFL is being held on Thursday, April 26, 2012, and will have participating restaurants all over the western part of the state.

Dining Out For Life is a lot of fun, and helps raise money for WNCAP. Eat out at any of the participating restaurants and 20% of all purchases go to WNCAP.

So what is Local Guys Moving doing? Well, Clete has signed up as an Ambassador and is sponsoring Three Chop Sandwich Shop. He will be there to assist them all day during the Dining Out For Life Day, to assist in any way he can. And Bruce is on Stand by in case another Sponsoring restaurant needs him for assistance.

So why not stop by Three Chopt Sandwich Shop, 103 Third Avenue East, Hendersonville NC on April 26! You can get a great meal, support a great cause and meet Local Guys Moving all in one!

Are you getting ready to move?

Council on Aging Thrift ShopIf you know there is an impending move in your future, you may want to try to use up or get rid of some of your items in order to save time and space (and ultimately money).

For example if you have a lot of food in your refrigerator or cabinets, why not start using them up so that they don’t have to be moved? Packing and caring for food items that need to be kept cold or frozen can be way more than you want to handle on a busy moving day. So why not get them eaten and not have to deal with that worry? You may want to reduce the canned goods and boxed items that you can to avoid moving those heavy boxes as well.

Are there things you have been hanging on to that you really don’t use any longer? Or clothing items you haven’t worn in years? This may be a great time to drop off these items at your local consignment shop (for extra cash) or donate them to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army for a nice little tax write off.

Why move things you don’t have to? Start thinking about your move early and save time and money later.
